Amazingly, I think I know where my interest in wireless began.
This photo shows a blue crystal radio set that I received as a 5th year birthday present. It is a blue item with a dark circular dial, it is in the yellow box on the left hand side of the table. I remember listening to it for hours at a time. It only received one local station ABC's 100Kw 2NR, then broadcasting at 700KHz.
