| EQUIPMENT: |
|
 |
We travel in a Isuzu, air-conditioned
vehicle which is fitted with a 9000 lb winch, long-range fuel tank and
snorkel. We carry a comprehensive first aid kit and a satellite phone.
All camping equipment,(screened tents and army style cots are supplied)
or we can stay in historic hotels or remote lodges. Where it is allowed
and safe, we cook on open fires and meals are included in the costing of
the tour. |
DINING:
Eating out while on tour is a casual arrangement tailored to suit each
individual. We enjoy fresh, locally available food and often, your own
seafood catch. With minimal cooking utensils: an iron fry pan, a couple
of billy cans, and a camp oven, I can cook anything from a roast
dinner to pan fried fish. A cooked breakfast is a pleasure which often
includes bacon and eggs, fresh fruit, cereal and beverages. Lunch is usually
light and simple. |
 |
| Dinner is a favorite
meal with everyone, particularly if we're feasting on our own freshly caught
fish, delicious! Other choices include fresh prawns, steak or mixed grill.
Like our tours, meals are tailored to suit each individual. Please
give notice in advance so that we can cater to your food preferences, vegetarian
or special needs. Our food is certainly an exciting part of the trip and
I'm sure I can please most anyone's wishes. |
