Eventually alpaca studs reach "Decision Time" regarding their future involvement in the industry - maintain herd size or continue to expand? In our case, we decided that we wanted the latter, but having only a five acre property in the Sydney area, we needed to acquire some more dirt. Fortunately the Money Tree hadn't been pruned too heavily and we began our search for additional land. The result was "Oakleigh", a 400 acre property at Running Stream, midway between Mudgee and Lithgow.
