Created Point Cloud EndNote Library for document references. EndNote has a Word plugin which makes reference managment in documents very straight forward.
Decided to write the preparation as a paper.
The paper will discuss what Point Clouds are, the motivation for Point Clouds being Robotic navigation, Point Cloud Library (PCL), overview of the Kinect hardware, Kinect calibration. The preperation will be to :
- Read about the PCL Point Cloud type and modify some simple code.
- Read a Rusu's paper on PCL called "3D is here".
- Watch the Velodyne High Definition LIDAR video.
- Watch the Radio Head HouseOfCards Video to show how point clouds are used artistically.

Spent the weekend creating the preparation paper lab sheet and slides.
Set up all four laptops with the Ubuntu ISO v7.
Tested each laptop with the Kinect.
Posted documents on course Sharepoint site and e-mailed the peer students with the prep.
