Sue's Stuff...

My own personal page with just MY stuff  - about ME!

In keeping with resolution number 1, I joined Weight Watchers (WW) 4 weeks ago and I have lost 2.2kg so far!  I think by the end of the year I will have lost closer to 20kg (here's hoping).

Still trying not to get stressed about work stuff, but working on it.

I have already made more cards this year than at the same time last year - and more to come.  I actually cleaned up my work space and lo and behold the creative juices started flowing almost immediately!

My hairstyle has also changed - no more spiky hair.  It was getting old and the new style softens my face a bit - a little more feminine. Started doing some personal training sessions at the gym and also trying to walk to WW meetings as well.  Feeling very positive about the rest of the year, so stay tuned.  Will post a "before" photo here soon and then we can make a comparison on my birthday (in May).  Hoping to have lost about 12kg by then!

At this stage I have lost about 7kg, which makes me the lightest I have been in about 2 years.  It is exciting to try on clothes from my wardrobe that stopped fitting me - and now fit again!  I also bought my first pair of jeans "off the rack" in about 2 years.  Feeling very positive as I have increased my exercise levels and have the food intake pretty much under control.  I am quite confident I will have lost about 11 or 12 kg by my birthday (or just after). That will be good because Andrew and I are planning a Spa weekend getaway for our anniversary in June and it would be nice to feel more attractive for that!

To date I have lost 10kg - hoping to make it at least 12 before the end of the year.  There have been ups and downs since the last entry, not the least of which was me pulling my right hamstring in July.  Nothing spectacular - I was trying to catch the cat, on the tiles, in socks....whoa!  It was excruciating pain and took about 8 weeks to finally be okay enough to exercise properly.  Had I not hit that hurdle, I might have been further down the weight-loss trail.

Have started a new craft - beaded jewellery.  Linda and I did a class for our birthdays and I LOVE it!  Have made quite a few gifts for family and friends.  It's easy and fun and the results are fantastic.  I still make cards, but doing more of the pickpoint stitched cards now.  Starting to really focus on Christmas cards and making them in front of the telly in the evenings.  Helps to keep me awake and also stops me eating!

Happy New Year!  Managed to make 50 handmade cards for Christmas, which is my best effort yet.  Weight loss has continued and I have now lost almost 12kg.  Hoping to make it 15 by my birthday...slow and steady seems to be the way it goes for me.  Still, that is better as I am more likely to keep the weight off.  Jewellery making is going well.  Got some beads and a voucher to buy more for Christmas, so that will keep it all moving along!  Fitness levels are improving as well as figure, which is great when we are trying to do more as a family.  Planning to do the Run 4 the Kids in April (5.7km version, NOT the 15km one!) and the Melbourne City Romp again in October.  Looking forward to our beach holiday even more than last year as I don't look anywhere near as horrible in my bathers now!

This is what I looked like BEFORE Weight Watchers on January 20th 2008 (in my gym gear of course)

This is what I look like a year later...still a work in progress, but MUCH better!
