LAUGHTER AND TEARS FROM THE BUSH

When our forebears first came to this country they camped around Sydney Cove. Before long they realized they had to move over the mountains and create new communities. Upon doing so they had to create their own entertainment and I guess the essential ingredient was the old campfire. Some folk were handy with rhyme and would put to pen some incident that took their fancy to pen and would recite it. Others put a melody to lyrics and played it in song whilst some were just good old yarn storytellers and shared their tales in yarns. Chris and I try to keep this tradition alive today in our shows. Hope we can catch up with you at one of them.
