WRCorona Rebuild
Now that I've got a few events under the belt and proved that Im squeezing every last bit out of the stock farm engine, its time to begin phase to of Operation Polish the Turd. I have aquired two 18rg's with all the bit and now I have to pick the best and assemble. Soon as the cash is at hand, I'll be starting the job and hoping to have it ready for Corsa or Bay Stages, finacnes depending.

Well since Im an idiot and over estimated the tyre tread, road edge and my own talent, I know have to repaint 80% of the WRCorona. Although still drivable which was proved at RoC, Im running in the ACT Novice Series next year and need the car looking respectable for my new sponsors.
So back to sanding and prepping before we take it to Mikeys to spray AGAIN and then back home for Cathy to Sticker again. I've also received two twincams from Nighto the legend so we'll have some more oompff by the time I rebuild them too.

After a few weeks of seem welding, straightening, bogging and some paint issues, the WRCorona is now painted and looking very nice. Now I just need to put the old gal back together and paint some smaller parts before I can start work on the interior.
I must throw a huge thanks out to Stewy and Michelle for looking after the car and getting looking so great. Thanks heaps guys, we had a great weekend down there too.

The rona is now stripped back and sanded awaiting a bit of bog tonight and and some killrust tomorrow night. Matt James the Champion is coming to pick it up and drive back the same day on saturday, so Stewy can start to polish the turd :)
The sticker designs have been created and Cath D is getting them ready to pretty up the car.

We have started stripping the old girl back and is now stickerless and I have purchased the gear needed to sand back the body and new bonnet. Some of the guards, the old bonnet and other parts are now off and after Alpine, I'll be working furiously to get it ready for Blue Range Rally in February.
I have big plans for the car this year, well maybe not big but a few changes for the old girl, starting with a makeover which I have attached below.
