[moving house #3]

Well this is it... we're almost packed and moving on Monday!
This will probably be my last post from this lovely old house.

At the moment my family and I are very excited and hyped about moving... must be from all the sleepless nights we've had for the past few months! hehe :P

Anyways, I'll be without internet for the next week or so... but I'll try and post up some photos of the new place once we have our internet connection back.

[moving house #2]

What started off as surreal is now seemingly very real... we're on the move again! We've finally started throwing things out, packing things into boxes, and will be moving out in 3 weeks.
So goodbye old house and hello new house, literally!! The new house is like 30 years younger than the current one! :D

Altho I'm technically the owner of the new house, it's still very much my parents' house. I'm excited and can't wait to move in but don't feel as excited as I should be as a first time home owner. Think I'll definately be more excited in buying and moving into my next house tho! whenever that is.. hehehe ;) *wink*

With all house movings, things need to be thrown out and this time round, most if not all, my work from high school and uni had to go... I had an excuse for not throwing them out the last time we moved (saving it for my sis), but not this time.

Don't know about you guys/girls but I find it really hard to part with my belongings... and this includes all the annoying projects I did in high school and uni! All the all-nighters, all the struggles... didn't felt so good at the time, but now the memories are positive in every way. :) hehe

So a tearful farewell to all my notes/tests/assignments and off to the recycling bin they go~~~ :|

[year of movement]

Here are the reasons why this year will DEFINATELY be the year of movement; moving to be more precise! :P

Moving house:
This is the biggest of all movements... "drum roll"... I bought a house!! :D
Altho its for my family, it's still very exciting cos it's MY very first house! YAY! :D
After thinking of downsizing to a newer, easier to maintain house for almost a year now, we've finally decided now was the best time to move. Actually I was quite surprised that I found a suitable house so quickly; took only about 6 weeks (from the week I first started looking to the time we made an offer and signed the contract). At first I thought it was gonna take ages... cos every house I suggested to my mum, she ALWAYS managed to find something bad about it!! :P

With this house, my mum approved it the day she saw the photos! :)
The house is 6 year old, double storey townhouse with 3 bedrooms. My parents insisted we get 3 bedrooms instead of 2 cos they want to convert my room to a guest/study once I move out. I haven't even moved in yet and they're already kicking me out!! :P
Anyways, we're getting the keys to the new house at end of April. So we'll probably move in around late May cos we wanna fix and install some stuff to the house first before settling in.

Moving office:
The lease is up and the boss wanna move to a bigger new office/warehouse!! :)
The catch is... it's all the way in Lynbrook!!! I've never even heard of the suburb til now and I'm pretty good with my Melway too!! :P
Apparently it's somewhere between Dandenong and Cranbourne... just down Monash and Sth Gippsland Fwy. At least it's against traffic I guess...

Apart from the location, I'm pretty happy to move from our current office/warehouses. It'll be heaps bigger, with 2 office spaces and 1 HUGE warehouse (instead of our current 3 smallish ones), AND it'll be brand new!!! Atm, they're looking at moving in July.
Can't wait!! Hopefully then I'll get a new 24" monitor that I truly deserve... and need of course!!! haha :D

Moving website:
Yes I'll finally be getting a host and my own domain name very soon.
This means I'll be creating a new site where I can put more features and my portfolio. Hopefully this new website will be much more efficient and time-saving cos atm I'm still hand-coding everything on this site and it's VERY time consuming!! :(
Altho I plan to get my hosting and domain name done in the next few weeks, I don't think the new site will be completely done til 2nd half of the year... due to moving house. I just don't have time for anything else. So the website will just have to wait until everything's done and we've settled into our new house.

[valentine's day]

Woahh... it's been a longgg time since I wrote here.
Time just flew by!! Last time I checked it was almost Xmas!!
Great start to the year yeah!? :P

Atm, I'm looking for a proper host to host my site and get my own domain name.
I've been meaning to find one for some time now... (actually ever since I starting this website in 2005!) So hopefully 2007 is the year for me to finally have a decent, properly setup website. Fingers crossed!! :)

Anyways I wish everyone, including those who aren't in a relationship, a happy Valentine's day!
May you feel loved and cherished not just for today but every single day!! :D
