WHO.....The Open Door is a congregation of the Community of Christ in Cranebrook NSW Australia. The Australian Community of Christ has provided financial assistance and ministerial support to us since we first began. The Community of Christ has given us 'ownership' of the building complex that we use, free of charge. WHAT....The Open Door is for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people. But ALL are welcome at the Open Door. It doesn't matter which faith background you are from, if any at all. In fact it is diversity that makes the Open Door such a unique and very special congregation. HOW.... So how can this work, you ask? Do we argue and rubbish each other because we all have such different ideas about God, Life and the Universe? The amazing thing is that, in order to understand and accept one another, we literally have to rely on the true essence of what the Christian faith is supposed to be all about. L O V E! At the Open Door, the emphasis is on relationship. Relationship with God, and relationship with one another.
