Addressing the surpassing of 50% urbanisation rate and gentrification, the project sets out rethinking Sydney as a city in 2030. Aviopolis was the product of both a final year uni research semester and driven by the IFHP Student Competition. The proposal outlines the possibility of population influx and activity at airports in the coming years, seeing the possibility of a new CBD in the airport district, to relieve the stresses on the current CBD and activating the southern waterfront edge of the city.
