| >>> The Tagline: |
"If you've got a bogey on your six, Viper Pilot has what it takes to make you shake your tail." |
| >>> The Hype: |
Not only does Viper Pilot wield an eclectic arsenal of space lounge, hyper-retro and mad science beats, but he also drops some of the freshest dance tracks this side of Io. Whether it be a full set or one of his mashups, this boy drops some astoundingly good beats. The best new DJ talent of 20XX, without a doubt.

| >>> The Sad Truth: |
I am an amateur beat producer, with a healthy dose of n00b. Also, this website (hand-crafted in notepad) is weak. |

>>> Rapid Deployment 03.07.2007 |
I managed to bang this track out in one night, without me returning to the workshop five or six more times to fiddle with it, like I have all my previous tracks. The thing just works, and works well.
The roster for this deployment includes:
Pepe Deluxe - Everybody Pass Me By Johnny Horton - Big Bad John

>>> Prototype 06.06.2007 |
A new prototype weapon has been unveiled today at the Viper Pilot foundries: The Prodigal Slide.
Take not one, not two, but three Prodigy tracks and mash them up with the classic hip-hop single 'Let your Backbone Slide' by seminal Canadian rapper Maestro Fresh-Wes (or simply 'Maestro', as he's known these days) and see what happens.

Update 15.06.07: The Prodigal Slide is now released for use by all armed forces, having passed stress testing and live fire excersices!

>>> Mash the Second 06.04.2007 |
Here's my second bootleg, then. I've gone a bit novelty on this track - or at least it starts that way, but by the end, god-damn, you will be shaking what your momma gave you.
This mash consists of The Pixies' 'U-Mass', 'Pump up the Volume' by MAARS and 'Me and My Moog' by Dick Hyman.

I'm tempted to make a gag about Dick Hyman's name, but people born in a place called Regina (rhymes with...) probably shouldn't.

>>> First Mash! 19.03.2007 |
So, here's my first 'release', then (although this is a second, refined version of the original). I'm certainly no Go Home Productions or DJ Zebra, but I'm quite proud of myself.
Download: Viper Pilot - Do the Busta Stop.mp3
I've taken the acapella from Busta Rhymes' 'Woo Hah!!!' and layered it over top of 'Bus Stop' by The Fatback Band and thrown in Daft Punk's 'Da Funk' for some extra thrump. You'll notice I've been extra clever with my mash theme, as the video for Da Funk features a bus as the main antagonist.
Yes, I know everyone and their dog has already done a Daft Punk mash, but I think I'm allowed a grace period. Mrs. Viper Pilot says that Daft Punk is to mashing what Hotel California or Stairway to Heaven are to rock: it must be the first thing you master. |
