William Langley was born in 1872[1] in Berrima, New South Wales, Australia as the seventh child of Charles Langley and Emma Shergold. He had twelve siblings, namely: Clara Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary Ann, Charles Henry, Emma, Thomas Henry, Amy Jane, John Charles, George, Arthur, Eva, and Robert.

 

When he was 25, William married Elizabeth Margaret Gray, daughter of Hugh Gray and Elizabeth, in 1897[2] in Kiama, New South Wales, Australia.

 

William Langley and Elizabeth Margaret Gray had three children:

 

1. Kathleen Elizabeth Marjory Langley was born in 1898 in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia. She married Arthur George Fraser in 1930 in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia. Kathleen died on 23 December 1983 in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia.

 

2. Graham Langley was born on 27 March 1902 in Ballina, New South Wales, Australia. He married Ruby Pepper in 1927 in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia. Graham died on 31 January 1968 in Kyogle, New South Wales, Australia.

 

3. Will Langley was born in 1906 in Ballina, New South Wales, Australia. He married Violet Mary Harrison in 1930 in Kyogle, New South Wales, Australia. Will died on 25 February 1966 in Kyogle, New South Wales, Australia.

 

Elizabeth died on 25 July 1929[3] in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia, age 67.

 

When he was 61, William married Grace Grinold (nee Wishart), daughter of David Wishart and Mary Ellen Richardson, and widow of William H Grinold (1863-1928), in 1933[4] in Kyogle, New South Wales, Australia.

 

Grace and William Grinold ran a boarding house.

 

William Langley and Grace Wishart had no children.

 

Grace died on 06 December 1945[5] in Kyogle, New South Wales, Australia, age 64.

 

William died in 1952[6] in Kyogle, New South Wales, Australia, age 80.
