William Henry Fielder was born on 05 December 1835 in Marylebone, Middlesex, England as the second child of Thomas Fielder and Emma Hemsley. He had three siblings, namely: Thomas Henry, Priscilla Mary, and Emma Ann.

William was convicted of a crime in Southampton, Hampshire, England on 07 January 1847 and sentenced to seven years. He was transported on ‘Mount Stuart Elphinstone’ to Moreton Bay, Queensland 01 June 1849. Websites claim his name to be John, but the below image from ‘Australian Convict Transportation Registers – Other Fleets & Ships, 1791-1868’ sourced through Ancesty.com show his name was William. The number 25809 appears in both cases, so it appears it was the same person.

When he was 20, He married Lucy Ward, daughter of George Ward and Jane Housden, in 1856.

6. Sarah Fielder was born on 25 March 1867 in Queensland. She died on 21 January 1954 in Brisbane, Queensland.

7. John Thomas Fielder was born on 18 February 1869 in Brisbane, Queensland. He married Jane Welch in 1891. He died on 11 April 1936 in Queensland.

9. Louisa Agnes Fielder was born on 18 March 1873 in Queensland. She died on 05 June 1938 in Queensland.

11. Edward Albert Robert Fielder was born on 28 July 1879 in Queensland. He died on 15 May 1947 in Queensland.

12. Beatrice Fielder was born on 06 March 1882 in Queensland, Australia. She died on 01 August 1969 in Queensland.

William  died on 25 March 1883[1] in Queensland, age 47. He is buried in the Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
