




William Charles Ross was born on 04 November 1911[1] in Burringbar, New South Wales, Australia as the first child of Alexander Herbert Ross and Mary Emma May Hockey. He had three siblings, namely: Alexander Henry Percy, Mary Elsie May, and Spencer.
He worked as a teenager and young man at his fathers’ bakery “Alexander Ross and sons, bakers”, where he was fined numerous times for selling bread on a wekkly holiday (Sundays).
When he was 22, He married Olive Mary Elizabeth Wilson, daughter of Francis Wilson and Elizabeth Erbacher, in 1934[2] in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
William Charles Ross and Olive Mary Elizabeth Wilson had the following children:
1. Joyce Beverly Ross was born in 1935 in Australia.
2. Bettine Olivette Ross was born in Australia.
3. Carol Frances Ross was born in Australia.
4. Neville Alexander Ross was born on 11 February 1943 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He married Janice Ellen Fielder on 4 June 1966 in Brisbane, Qld. They divorced in 1980.
5. Barbara Joan Ross was born in Australia.
6. David Anthony Ross was born in Australia.
He served in the military between 13 June 1940–30 April 1945 in Staff Sergeant 2/1 Motor Ambulance Convoy. His service number was QX9130.
William died on 2 July 1991 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, age 79.
