Thomas Robertson was born on 16 May 1859 in Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland as the second child of John Robertson and Margaret Maven. He had ten siblings, namely: Alexander, Margaret, John, William Robert, Adam, Robert, Archibald, Peter Francis, Daniel, and Agnes.

When he was 29, he married Jennie Ann Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton and Jane Maxwell, in 1889[1] in Queensland, Australia.

Thomas Robertson and Jennie Ann Hamilton had the following children:

1. Margaret Robertson was born on 11 January 1890 in Eumundi, Queensland, Australia. She married Joseph Williamson on 25 March 1914 in Queensland, Australia. Margaret died on 15 June 1931 in Eumundi, Queensland, Australia.

2. Jennie Ann Robertson was born on 11 November 1892 in Eumundi, Queensland, Australia. She married Arthur John Chapman on 22 January 1925 in Queensland, Australia. Jennie died in 1970 in Queensland, Australia.

Jennie died on 24 June 1915[2] in Eumundi, Queensland, Australia.

Thomas died on 04 October 1923[3] in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia, age 64.

After & lengthy illness, Mr. Thomas Robertson died, at Bundaberg Thursday, aged 64. He was a native of Scotland.
