To Mr. Gannon : I had to go a mile and a half to a man to take the sheep, and then seven miles to Mrs. Huggins's, to whom I showed the wound; the son did nothing; the nearest police station is at Bangonia, about twelve miles off.

To defendant ; You threatened to throw me In a water-hole twelve months ago; we were both in one employ then; you did tell me a few days previous not to go on certain land; but I was on purchased land when you tackled me; I am certain I was on my own land.
