Robert Ward was born on 09 September 1705 in Balsham, Cambridgeshire, England as the second child of Edward Ward and Margaret. He had four siblings, namely: Edward, John, Martha, and Anne.

Robert Ward married Ann Deadman.

1. Daniel Ward was born on 12 December 1732.

2. Matthew Ward was born in 1738 in Balsham, Cambridge, England. He married Sarah Pearson on 03 February 1764.

3. Robert Ward was born on 30 November 1740.

4. John Ward was born on 02 September 1744 in Balsham, Cambridgeshire, England. He died on 08 September 1811 in Balsham, Cambridgeshire, England.

Robert Ward married Anne Cicely Woolett and had no children.
