Peter Marten (Martin) Vock was born on 17 November 1890[1] in Mount Perry, Queensland, Australia as the eighth child of Peter Vock and Mary Borchardt. He had eight siblings, namely: Mary, Louisa, John Peter, William, Ernest, Charles Henry, Johanna Mary Ann, and August Julius.

When he was 24, He married Mary Georgeana Clayton in 1915[2] in Queensland, Australia.

Peter and Mary had one son.

Peter died on 24 August 1947[3] in Gladstone, Queensland, Australia.

OBITUARYMR P. VOCK - The death occurred in Gladstone recently of Mr Peter Vock, who was well-known in industrial and sporting circles there for many years. He was 55 years of age and was born at Mt Perry. For more than 30 years he had been employed in various departments of the Gladstone meatworks.

He was a prominent official of the AMIEU (Central District) and at the last election of union officials was returned unopposed for vice-president. His funeral was largely attended, testifying to the high esteem in which he was held. He is survived by his wife, and one son.
