




Peter Erbacher was born on 08 February 1857 at Tent Hill, near Helidon, Queensland, Australia as the fifth child of Friedrich Erbacher and Anna Margaretha Margaret Edinger. He had seven siblings, namely: Carl (Charles), Adam, Anna Maria, Mary, Fritz (Fred), Katherine, and Leonard.
When he was 22, Peter married Mary Diflo, daughter of Philipp Andreas Andrew Diflo and Julianna Lohr, at St Patrick's church, Toowoomba in May 1880[1]. The service was performed by Rev. Father Dunne, who would later become Archbishop.
Peter was a shepherd and shearer, and in 1903 he selected land at Eton Vale, Queensland, where he became a successful farmer. He retired in 1917.

1. Friedrich Erbacher was born on 01 April 1881 in Queensland, Australia. He married Mary Ellen Cussen in 1899 in Queensland, Australia. He died on 19 October 1965 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.
2. Peter John Erbacher was born on 24 June 1883 in Queensland, Australia. He married Elizabeth Theresa Kennedy in 1932 in Queensland, Australia. He died on 21 February 1965 in Drayton, Queensland, Australia.
3. Rose Erbacher was born on 15 June 1885 in Queensland, Australia. She married William John McCreath in 1913 in Queensland, Australia. She died on 18 September 1958 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
4. Elizabeth Erbacher was born on 21 September 1888 in Queensland, Australia. She married Francis Wilson on 15 May 1912 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. She died on 17 June 1962 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
5. John Charles Erbacher was born on 19 October 1890 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. He married Ellen ORourke in 1916 in Queensland, Australia.He died on 18 June 1946 in Drayton, Queensland, Australia.
6. Annie Christina Erbacher was born on 21 September 1892 in Queensland, Australia. She married Johannes Anton Grünke in 1915 in Queensland, Australia. She died on 18 March 1964 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.
7. Mary Jane Erbacher was born on 04 September 1894 in Queensland, Australia. She died on 08 June 1904 in Queensland, Australia.
8. Johanna Jessie Erbacher was born in 1896 in Queensland, Australia. She married Michael Keane in 1939 in Queensland, Australia. She died in 1985 in Queensland, Australia.
9. Julia Mary Erbacher was born on 28 January 1899 in Queensland, Australia. She died in 1981 in New South Wales.
In May 1930, Peter and Mary celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
Peter died on 27 August 1932[2] in Drayton, Queensland, age 75.

On Saturday last Mr and Mrs. Peter Erbacher, old residents of Rangeville, celebrated
their 'golden wedding, and were entertained by their family at an enioyable surprise
party at their old home at Rangeville. Mr. and Mrs. Erbacher were married at St.
Patrick's Church, Toowoomba, on May 20, 1880, by Rev. Father Dunne (later Archbishop
Dunne). At the gathering on Saturday there were over 50 guests. The rooms were arranged
with streamers of gold and white ribbon, and the table was decorated with yellow
