

Mary Olsen was born in 1876[1] in Queensland, Australia as the third child of Neils Carl Christian Rudolph Olsen and Katrine Hannsen. She had seven siblings, namely: Charles Torvald (Thorwald), Catherine Amelia, Louis, Jessie, Charlotte, Elizabeth, and Alfred.
When she was 31, Mary married Thomas Walter Boody, son of William Boody and Winifred Donegan, in 1907[2] in Queensland, Australia.
Thomas Walter Boody and Mary Olsen had the following children:
1. Cecil Thomas Boody was born in 1907 in Queensland, Australia. He married Frances Ena Shelly in 1934 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He died in 1948 in Queensland, Australia.
2. George Walter Boody was born in 1912 in Queensland, Australia. He died in 1936 in Queensland, Australia.
3. Allen James Boody was born in 1914 in Queensland, Australia.
4. Thomas Henry Boody. He died in 1919 in Queensland, Australia.
On 19 November 1948, Mary was staying with one of her sisters in Newstead to get over the death of her son Cecil Thomas Boody, who had died two months earlier. She had gone missing around 7a.m. Her body was found floating in the Brisbane river near Newstead Park by a ship at 7:30 a.m. on 20 November 1948[3]. It was falsely reported she was a widow. She was 72 years old.
Thomas died in 1951[4] in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, age 75.
