



Lucy Ward was born in 1837 in Cambridgeshire, England as the third child of George Ward and Jane Housden. She had six siblings, namely: James, William, Charlotte, Mary, John, and George.
When she was 15, Lucy arrived in Australia with her family aboard the ship ‘Argyle’ on 19 July 1852. She was listed as a domestic servant, Church of England and reads.
When she was 19, She married William Henry Fielder,son of Thomas Fielder and Emma Hemsley, in 1856.
William Henry Fielder and Lucy Ward had the following children:
1. Walter Fielder was born on 12 February 1857. He died on 01 Mar 1857 in Queensland.
2. William Henry Fielder was born on 11 June 1858 in Brisbane, Queensland. He married Margaret Robertson on 23 July 1880 in Brisbane, Queensland. He died on 09 February 1913 in South Brisbane, Queensland.
3. Angelina Elizabeth Fielder was born on 01 January 1861 in Queensland. She married David Sidwell Lax in 1886. She died on 04 July 1926 in Queensland.
4. Mary Ann Fielder was born on 08 July 1863 in Queensland. She died on 25 March 1897 in Queensland.
5. James Fielder was born on 04 February 1865 in Queensland. He died on 08 February 1865 in Queensland.
6. Sarah Fielder was born on 25 March 1867 in Queensland. She died on 21 January 1954 in Brisbane, Queensland.
7. John Thomas Fielder was born on 18 February 1869 in Brisbane, Queensland. He married Jane Welch in 1891. He died on 11 April 1936 in Queensland.
8. Clara Agnes Fielder was born on 11 April 1871 in Queensland. She died on 11 January 1872 in Queensland.
9. Louisa Agnes Fielder was born on 18 March 1873 in Queensland. She died on 05 June 1938 in Queensland.
10. Euphemia Alice Fielder was born on 13 November 1875 in South Brisbane, Queensland. She died on 14 October 1942 in South Brisbane, Queensland.
11. Edward Albert Robert Fielder was born on 28 July 1879 in Queensland. He died on 15 May 1947 in Queensland.
12. Beatrice Fielder was born on 06 March 1882 in Queensland, Australia. She died on 01 August 1969 in Queensland.
Two years after William’s death, Lucy aged 48, married Henry Welch on 15 April 1885[1].
Henry Welch and Lucy had no children.
Lucy died on 23 February 1912[2] in Brisbane, Queensland.
