Keith Franklyn Fielder was born in 1921 as the ninth child of William Henry Fielder and Elizabeth Olsen. He had eight siblings, namely: Kathleen Eveline, William Henry, Irene Jessie, Lionel Arthur, Eva Joyce, Stella, Horace Allan, and Phyllis.

When he was 30, He married Agnes Dunn on 08 September 1951 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
