Katherine Erbacher was born on 20 February 1862[1] in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia as the seventh child of Friedrich Erbacher and Anna Margaretha Margaret Edinger. She had seven siblings, namely: Carl, Adam, Anna Maria, Mary, Peter, Charles Frederick, and Leonard.

 

When she was 16, she married Joseph Anthony Giezendanner, son of Johan Jacob Giezendanner and Catherina Bolhaldar, on 17 September 1878[2] in Queensland, Australia.

 

Joseph Anthony Giezendanner and Katherine Erbacher had the following children:

 

1. George Anthony Giezendanner was born in 1879 in Queensland, Australia. He married Ellen Dempsey McNeil in 1898 in Queensland, Australia. George died on 15 January 1922 in Queensland, Australia.

 

2. Katharina Giezendanner was born in 1881 in Queensland, Australia. She married Thomas Arthur Toombs in 1909 in Queensland, Australia. Katharina died in 1955 in Queensland, Australia.

 

3. Carl Giezendanner was born in 1883 in Queensland, Australia. He died in 1885 in Queensland, Australia.

 

4. Wilhelm Heinrich Giezendanner was born in 1885 in Queensland, Australia.

 

5. Maria Giezendanner was born in 1886 in Queensland, Australia. She died in 1888 in Queensland, Australia.

 

6. Johann Ludwig Giezendanner was born in 1888 in Queensland, Australia. He married Kate Hutchison in 1918 in Queensland, Australia. Johann died in 1965 in Queensland, Australia.

 

7. Albert Giezendanner was born in 1891 in Queensland, Australia. He died in 1891 in Queensland, Australia.

 

8. Louisa Wilhelmina Giezendanner was born in 1893 in Queensland, Australia. She married William Arthur Dean in 1923 in Queensland, Australia. Louisa died in 1952 in Queensland, Australia.

 

Joseph died on 09 October 1901[3] in Charters Towers, Queensland, Australia, age 58.

 

When she was 40, Katherine married William Webb in 1903[4] in Queensland, Australia.

 

Katherine died on 29 September 1943[5] in Chillagoe, Queensland, Australia, age 81.

Marriage - On Tuesday last the German Lutheran Church was crowded with English and German visitors on the occasion of the marriage of the pastor of the church, the Rev J. A. Giezendanner, with Miss Catharina Erbacher. The officiating minister was the Rev. Mr. Burghardt. Many kindly congratulations were offered to the newly wedded pair, who left for Brisbane by the afternoon train.
