The following account of a wedding in Ipswich, taken from Monday's Advocate, will
be read with interest by many Warwick residents: - " A quiet, though decidedly interesting
wedding, judging from the large crowd of admirers assembled, took place at St. Mark's
Church this morning, when Mr. J. E. Horrigan, and Miss Amy Vincent, of Ipswich, were
united in wedlock's holy bonds, by the Rev. A. Horan. For the edification of our
lady readers we might mention that the fair and charming bride, who was given away
by her father, was attired in an elegant travelling gown of grey cashmere, trimmed
with grey mervellioux, with hat to match. The bridesmaids were Miss Lillie Thornton,
in white nainsook with pink trimmings ; and Miss Tottie M'Grath in white nainsook
with blue trimmings, and both looked very pretty. Mr. J. J. Brady acted as best man,
and amongst those present we noticed the bride's mother in a black cashmere costume,
Mrs. Horrigan in black silk, and Mn. E. L. Thornton, of Warwick, in a rick brocaded
silk overlaid with blaok Chantille lace. The happy couple departed for Sandgate,
where the honeymoon is to be spent, by the forenoon train, and we wish the newly-married
pair every success and happiness."
