James Benjamin Bool was born in 1755 in Somerset, England as the first child of Isaac Bool and Elizabeth.

James Benjamin Bool and Grace Hockey had the following children:

1. Catherine Bool was born in 1767 in Montacute, Somerset, England. Her parents were both 12 years old at the time. Catherine married William Hockey, her first cousin. She died on 20 December 1850 in Yeovil, Somerset, England.

James died on 14 January 1828.
