Ivy Monsoon Ross was born on 28 February 1896[1] in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia as the eighth child of William Monsoon Ross and Honorah Mary Teresa Horrigan. She had seven siblings, namely: William Hardy, Edmund Angus, Alexander Herbert, Lillian Alice, James Edwin, Bertram Thomas, and May Angela.

When she was 26, Ivy married Cecil Edward Long,son of Samuel Long and Ellen Horton, on 17 April 1922[2].

Cecil Edward Long and Ivy Monsoon Ross had the following children:

1. Alan Edward Long. He died on 17 April 1926 in Queensland, Austrailia.

In 1925, her address was Howes Rd, Nundah

In 1972, her address was 73 Shamrock St, Kedron.

Cecil died on 23 November 1963[3] in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, age 64.

Ivy died on 01 August 1994 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, age 98.
