Eva Langley was born in 1883[1] in Kiama, New South Wales, Australia as the twelfth child of Charles Langley and Emma Shergold. She had twelve siblings, namely: Clara Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary Ann, Charles Henry, Emma, Thomas Henry, William, Amy Jane, John Charles, George, Arthur, and Robert.

When she was 21, She married William Esau Longbottom, son of George Longbottom and Ann Judson, in 1904[2] in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

William Esau Longbottom and Eva Langley had three children:

1. Laura May Longbottom was born in 1906 in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia. She married Clyde Templeton Daly in 1947 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Laura died in 1964 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

2. Dorothy Longbottom was born in 1908 in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia.

3. Roydon George Charles Longbottom was born in 1913 in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia. He married Maisie Australia Clifford in 1941 in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia. Roydon died in 1959 in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia.

Eva died on 01 December 1927[3] in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, age 44.

William died on 12 August 1930[4] in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, age 50.

MURWILLUMBAH - The death has occurred of Mrs. Eva Longbottom, wife of Mr. W. E. Longbottom, of Burringbar. She had resided in the Tweed district for upwards of 20 year. She is survived by her husband and a family of three-two daughters and one son.
