Mrs. Frances Erbacher. - The death occurred at Rosewood, on February 7, of Mrs. Frances
Erbacher, relict of the late Mr. Carl Erbacher. The deceased lady, who was 81 years
of age, came from Germany to Australia with her parents when she was four years of
age. The boat was ship-wrecked at Cleveland, and the passengers lost practically
all their possessions. Her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Ratz, went to Taabinga

land at the Seven Mile, Rosewood. They were among the small band of pioneers who
settled in that locality in the early 'sixties. After her marriage the late Mrs.
Erbacher went to Toowoomba, where she resided for about six years, and then returned
to Ebenezer, where she had since resided. She leaves a family of five sons, Messrs.
Michael (Nambour), Leonard (Charleville), George (Harrisville), and John and Charles
(Rosewood), and three daughters, Mrs. K.Noonan, Mrs. G. Dale (Rosewood), and Mrs.
J. T. Griffiths (Kingaroy). One daughter, Mrs. Embrey, predeceased her about 18 years
ago. The funeral took place to the Ipswich cemetery. Rev. Father Coleman (Booval)
