Ann Ross was born on 01 November 1860[1] in Queensland, Australia as the fourth child of Angus Ross and Ann Mclennan. She had three siblings, namely: Alice, William Monsoon, and Alexander.

When she was 26, Ann married Alfred William Nelson, son of William Nelson and Ann Harrison, in 1887[2] in Queensland, Australia.

Alfred William Nelson and Ann Ross had no children.

Alfred died on 19 January 1890[3] in Queensland, Australia, age 25. He was buried on 20 January 1890 in the Toowong cemetery, Location 14-4-9/10.

Ann died on 21 January 1900[4] in Queensland, Australia, age 39. She was buried on 22 January 1900 in the Toowong cemetery, Location 12-10-10.
