Alexander Ross was born on 27 October 1857[1] in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia1 as the third child of Angus Ross and Ann Mclennan. He had three siblings, namely: Alice, William Monsoon, and Ann.

When he was 21, Alexander married Julia Sarah Baker, daughter of Thomas Baker and Ruth Miller, on 03 June 1879[2] in Brisbane Queensland Australia.

Alexander Ross and Julia Sarah Baker had the following children:

1. Ruth Mildred Ross was born on 21 June 1881 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. She married William Forbes Stanley in 1909 in Queensland, Australia. Ruth died on 01 October 1963 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

2. Julia Mabel Ross was born on 12 November 1884 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She married Arthur James Praeger in 1912 in Queensland, Australia. Julia died on 12 October 1945 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

3. Alexander Harold Ross was born in 1886 in Queensland, Australia. He married Ethel Ada McLeod in 1927 in Queensland, Australia. Alexander died in 1969 in Queensland, Australia.

Alexander died on 03 November 19092 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia[3], age 52.

Julia died on 04 November 1930[4] in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
