Alexander Henry Percy Ross was born on 05 March 1914[1] in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia as the second child of Alexander Herbert Ross and Mary Emma May Hockey. He had three siblings, namely: William Charles, Mary Elsie May, and Spencer.

Alexander was known as Mac.

When he was 25, Alexander married Phyllis Agnes Lynagh in 1940[2] in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

He served in the military between 29 May 1940–05 April 1943 in Signalman 1 Corps of Signals. His service number was QX5419.

Alexander Henry Percy Ross and Phyllis Agnes Lynagh had the following children:

1. Robert Ross

Alexander died in 1985[3] in Queensland, Australia.
