Notice the "+ 7" adjacent to Nicholas Clemens (1833).  The "+" indicates that further details are available at a later part of the report adjacent to a bold number 7, see the next illustration for these details.

Fig 7.4  Report details
.  Here we see the bold figure 7 as the forward reference from the + 7 seen earlier in the report.  The children of Nicholas and Bridget have also been assigned unique numbers and if prefixed with a "+" then further details are available in the report.  I hope you get the idea. The NGS Quarterly (Descendant Ordered) is a very easy report format to follow and reads like a small book and is, perhaps, the most important report that can be produced from the database.
