Scanning 18:  Summary

I have briefly covered scanning by using Photoshop and OmniPage to scan historical material and to show how to store the objects in a Family Tree Maker database.  There are many graphical applications that will do a similar job of treating photographs or text so that the information can be stored in a genealogical database.  Activity (Optional of course): If you have the resources to scan a photograph and/or scan text with OCR then I encourage you to proceed with an exercise devised by you to explore the process
