The Scrolling Children Window

Nicholas Clemens (1833) is now visible and is child 6 in the scrolling children window.   FTM displays four children at a time in this small window, therefore, in reality, it may be necessary to scroll the window to find a particular child. (You cannot scroll these views because we are using  illustrations or pictures of FTM — a simulation).

Fig 1.6  The Scrolled Children Window  Notice that the 4 children tabs on the right have changed to match the 4 children in the scrolling children window.   To show the family page of a particular child we need to click on the matching vertical child tab.   Therefore, when a user clicks on the child tab labelled  Nicholas, the database will show his family page  — the page from which we started. [Click on the vertical tab Nicholas]
