Tracks
1. Kopperia no Hitsugi The awesome theme song to Noir, click here for the lyrics and translation.
2. Les Soldats The song that is heard after the theme song at the beginning of each episode. This version is much cooler as it turns into a heavy techno beat over the initial chanting.
3. Snow A very sad song that is soft and slow. I believe it played when Mireille visited the grave with the belladonna lilies at the end of ep. 3.
4. Canta Per Me Lots of Latin chanting in this song, and is played in almost every episode. A genuinely nice song.
5. Corsican Corridor Nice instruments being played in this song and has a sort of "nature" feel to it. Some parts are sad.
6. Ode to Power "You have contributed to the future of France. A true patriot" Yup, that scene where Pierre Cressiot and the GIGN official was leaking info to each other at the restaurant.
7. Solitude by the Window I couldn't pick a more perfect title for this song. I feel this song kind of reflects Kirika's feelings at times, about how alone she feels. Exceptionally "Frenchy".
8. Romance The first song that played in Noir besides the opening theme and Les Soldats. (Altho the album version doesn't originally sound like it, it changes to match the series version halfway through) Also has a unique "Frenchy" feel to it.
9. Silent Pain Nice, almost creepy song, but an excellent tune anyway. Everytime I hear this I remember the scene with Mireille in the catacomb, counting. Ichi..ni..san..shi...go...^^
10. Lullaby A beautiful piece, some parts are even in English. This song is very gentle.
11. Mélodie The tune that plays in the hand watch that causes Mireille to flashback. The soft twinkling tune develops into fast-paced chaos. Me like! ^^
12. Chloe The song title speaks for itself. A nice haunting tune for the mysterious assassin.
13. Whispering Hills An ok song, though not one of my favorites. This song played when Kirika was having flashbacks of her getting shot in ep. 7.
14. Zero Hour A sad tune full of melancholy, this song first played at the end of ep. 1 when Mireille agreed to help Kirika. Starting in business Noir
15. Liar You Lie Fast paced tune with a nice upbeat feel and interesting vocals (actually, its more like people yelling a spell every now and them ^^)
16. Sorrow Exactly what the song title says. Depressing tune with sad strings, this was the song that played near the end of ep. 9 when Mireille was finally able to kill Intoccabile .
17. Salva Nos I love this song! It plays in every episode when the action starts and is just plain cool. I love the way it builds up, then erupts in Latin chanting and a fast techno beat.
18. Kirei na Kanjou The full version of the ending theme. Extremely soothing and peaceful. Sung by Akino Arai. |
Tracks
1. Le Grand Retour A song full of bagpipes that sounds like it would be played during Braveheart. A very powerful piece that is nice and lengthy.
2. Secret Game A song filled with melancholy that reminds me of Chloe as it played during the last moments of Chloe's screen-time. Extremely sad.
3. Fake Garden This song is strange. I don't remember it ever playing in the series although it is rather "Frenchy".
4. Les Soldats II I personally like this version better than the first Les Soldats. It has a haunting, more meaningful feel to it, and the chanting is less excessive.
5. In memory of you A extremely heart-felt tune that played in that beautiful scene when Mireille read the letter Kirika wrote to her in episode 23.
6. Colosseum I definitely like this one! It is an expression of Chloe's anger and jealousy of the close bond that Mireille and Kirika shared.
7. Salva Nos II A rather haunting tune that has the Latin chanting going in the background along with the coolest instruments! Pretty good, but nowhere near as intense as the original Salva Nos.
8. Maze This song is so weird! I don't like this song as it was never in the series and doesn't seem to have anything to do with Noir.
9. In Peace Exactly what the song title says. A peaceful, country-ish piece that is the type of thing you would play to soothe a child.
10. Despair LOL!! Despite the title, this song is so unintentionally funny. The person playing the piano seems unaware of how to do it properly, and at the end thumps on the keyboard like a frustrated child! It's hilarious! ^_^
11. Power-hungry A BGM with an extremely heavy beat that first played in episode 6 when the snow fell as Mireille and Kirika went to assassinate Nazerev.
12. Black is Black The BGM that played almost constantly during the Heartless Assassin episodes. It has a definite Asian Oriental edge to it as well as sirens!
13. Canta Per Me II Slightly resembles Canta Per Me, but seems more like a different song in itself. Still very nice, though.
14. At Dusk A short, soft piece that is rather sad.
15. Premonition A soft, yet creepy tune that played when Chloe gave Kirika the "Final Guidance" in episode 20-21.
16. Killing Excellent tune! Seriously one of the most powerful pieces in the whole soundtrack. This BGM can match up to Salva Nos but didn't get enough playtime in the series.
17. A Farewell Song A song sung in English that played briefly when Mireille was all alone in Paris as Kirika had gone to the Manor. Very emotional.
18. Kirei na Kanjou - piano ver. A nice, soft instrumental version of the ending theme. A bit too short though.
19. Indio A beautiful song that reflects the raw emotion and pain felt by both Mireille and Kirika when Mireille was chasing Kirika after she found out that Kirika killed her family. |

BGM Outtrack Collection
1. Guest B Just a strange BGM. Not one of the best. Personally I feel it should have been scraped off the entire soundtrack.
2. Melodie (Salva Nos Version) Wow. That's all I can say. If you thought the normal Melodie was good, this version is astounding! The piano and chanting rendition makes this version even more haunting. Undoubtedly one of the best BGMs.
3. Jealousy A rather disappointing BGM that seems to lack any form of rhythm or beat. It just sounds like a bunch of instruments being beat dully out of sync.
4. At Dawn A nice, soft, gentle twinkling piece that possesses a childlike quality. If only it was longer though!
5. Black Society A tune that is extremely similar to the one played during the action scenes in the Heartless Assassin episodes. Has a definite oriental Asian feel to it, yet it is still recognizable as the style of music Noir has.
6. Family Affection This song is actually very, very nice. It sounds strangely like countryside music, possibly representing the rural areas of Corsica.
7. Church The form of this BGM is extremely similiar to that of Les Soldats. It has the same heavy beat and low chanting.
8. At Ease Ah, an extremely soothing tune that plays often when Mireille is flashbacking to her happier childhood days.
Blanc Dans Noir
1. Akai to Kuroi The new ALI PROJECT song that is equally as upbeat and haunting as Kopperia no Hitsugi ! Watashi kono uta daisuki! ^_^
2. Prelude A weird piece. Is this even classified as a song? Extremely short.
3. Canta Per Me (Japanese Version) KAWAII!!! ^^ There are absolutely no words to describe how cute Kirika is singing Canta Per Me!
4. Lullaby (Japanese Version) Sung by Altena herself, this Japanese version of Lullaby is just as good, if not better, than the original.
5. Em more Very nice. I can't explain this song except to say that it sounds almost sultry at first, and I'm pretty sure Kuwashima Houko sings it! It sounds too much like Kirika to not be her!
6. Himitsu WAI! This is Chloe singing Secret Game! I love the way it starts kinda soft and slow then crescendos to become really loud halfway through the song.
7. Salva Nos (Dialogue Remix Version) Every version of Salva Nos rocks, especially this one!! ^^ Mireille speaks through this song, saying lines typical of her and other stuff about the Soldats and her home Corsica! I love this version and Mitsuishi Kotono's voice! ^^
8. Love A truly beautiful song, that touches the bottom of your soul. It's quite a sad song, the tune full of feeling and raw emotion. Like Indio, this is sung by Yuki Kajiura's band Seesaw.
9. Gensou Rakuen Great lengthy song that reminds me of the type of song someone would play when seeking inspiration. The singer seems to be singing her heart out! |
