Shaun Rigney composer

Shaun Rigney (b. Melbourne Australia 1960) is a composer and  writer whose output includes orchestral, chamber, instrumental and electronic music, mixed media pieces, radiophonic pieces, poetry, plays, critical writings and other objects.

His collaboration with internationally acclaimed guitarist Slava Grigoryan, Afterimage - Slava Grigoryan Plays the Music of Shaun Rigney (released through ABC Classics) was nominated for the Best Classical Album ARIA Award in 2005. The CD features the guitar concerto Lapis Lazuli, the quintet The Garden of Forking Paths, the guitar/oboe duet endpoint, and the solos Girasol, Ten Coastal Sketches, and the Sonata Homage to Joaquín Rodrigo.
