Here are some of the beautiful ladies that graced the cattery at the time of my retirement....and their final homes....where it is hoped they will continue to add their specialities to Birman Breeding in Australia....and ultimately achieve their own retirement.

CCC of A Champion, Gold Champion SHARADA MOONLIGHT DREAMER (Hons) - "Melody"

Sire. Ch. Eldorato Shilo     Dam  Ch. Sharada Once Upon a Dream

Melody is a massive female - she weighs over 4.8 kilos with stunning boning, body and coat. Grand-daughter of Shinoto Dream Maker she carries chocolate and is a valued member of the breeding queens team. She has  completed her Gold Champion Title, placing in Group specials every time she has been exhibited and winning challenges AND Best of Breed at BOTH the ACF NATIONAL and the CCC of A NATIONAL IN 2006. She also gained another challenge at the CCC of A NATIONAL 2007

Melody was awarded the Birman Society Top Birman Exhibit for 2006 and also 3rd Best Group 1 Adult cat in the GCCFV 2006 awards. Truly a fabulous year.... she also gained the required number of Gold Challenges to wear the title "Honours" and have her name engraved on the Honours Board at the GCCFV Office.

Melody is rearing her last litter here - this time carrying the Brynler prefix her own future is not yet resolved.....

ACF AoE, Gold Champion SHARADA PHOENIX DREAMING (Hons) "Phoenix"

Sire: CCCofA Ch, ACF AoE, Gold Ch. Gold Pr.Shekinah Soolaimon    Dam: Ch. Sharada Once Upon A Dream

Phoenix is a personal favourite who I found dead as a newborn and resurrected immersing her in an ice-cream box of warm water.....hence her name. She has the same beautiful temperament as her half sister Melody and her dad Leon except she now no longer wants to share with other hormonal females. The opportunity for her to add a little more to the Birman gene pool while also being given the best quality of pet life has been resolved - she will go to share time with Annette Powell - Kucinta Birmans

As a show kitten she managed many Group awards but also moving into the adult ring claimed her title quickly where she has numerous times been Best Exhibit in the Long 'Semi Long Haired - Group 1, as well as Best Birman Exhibit in the "specialist ring" at the Birman Championship Show. (Judge  - Birman Breeder - Denise Figg )

She has two show winning typy daughters Ch. Sharada Catchin' Dreams exhibited successfully in NSW by Michelle Armour - Sobriquet Birmans  and in Victoria her sister CCCofA Ch.Gold Ch. Sharada Inya Dreams Birman Cat of the Year 2007....not to forget her beautiful son Exhibited by Janet Mitchell -  Gold Pr. Sharada Makin Dreams completed 2007 as Best Birman Male Kitten.

Cheryl Papez - Shekinah Birmans - now owns the lilac tabby who has titled as Ch. Sharada Filigree Dream and Ch. Sharada  Impossible Dream the latter reared a litter and is now owned by Julie Dervan in Queensland. These two little girls and a 3rd Sharada Living The Dream - owned by Marina Seliseth were conceived in an unusual event....

Gr.Pr.Sharada Tabby Two Shoes and Phoenix arranged their own alliance several days AFTER he was de-sexed and litter of 5 babies resulted - 4 tabby point females -blue, lilac, seal and chocolate - and a chocolate point male....very clever as I tried for three matings to Tabby Two Shoes mum to get a Tabby Female and now I have four...... Perhaps TTS was leaving me a parting gift as he left for his pet home.

CCCofA Champion, Gold Champion SHARADA INYA DREAMS - "Inya"

Sire Db.Gr.Ch. Sharada Shadeso' Blue      Dam ACF AoE, Gold Ch. Sharada Phoenix Dreaming(Hons)

Inya is a poppet with a loving and affectionate nature....the youngest of the 4 little girls to be exhibited during 2006 she accounted very very well - lots of big class wins and numerous kitten speciality awards. She gained her title easily and progressed through gaining the coveted Gold Champion title. At just over 9 months as a young adult she was awarded her first BEST GROUP 1 ADULT - against stiff competition.....followed by yet another - this time judge a Birman Specialist. In her first litter of beautiful babies a little blue boy has gone to live with Anne Davis - Shakandah Birmans - named Ch Sharada Dream Come True - he has had his show debut and started sensationally winning Best Group 1 Kitten in both rings on offer as well as SUPREME IN SHOW. This mating has been repeated and a young man - Sharada Australian Dreamer is off to New Caledonia..

Due to my retirement, her young age and potential to offer more to the Birman gene pool she is going with her baby daughter Sharada Dream A Little Dream to live with Wendy Hamilton - Zarlee Birmans - Wendy is the perfect appreciative trustee to care for her as it was Wendy that gave her a Supreme in Show when judging her as a youngster. She is guaranteed a good quality of life and ultimately will become a sweet house pet either with Wendy or some lucky select individual.

Gold Champion DEJAVU MISS MOLLY - "Molly"

Sire:  Sil.Ch.Chanmali Kusri Kasseem Kaadesh   Dam: Ch. Dejavu Amazing Grace.

Molly was a fantastic gift from my then breeding partner Debbie Raus (RIP) - Dejavu Birmans - and is a wonderful little seal point great grand-daughter of my favourite girl Db.Gr.Ch.Sharada Shes AnAngel. Her eye colour is sensational, her body and tail length fantastic and she is blessed with the temperament that is expected from that family. Carrying chocolate and sired by Kasseem she produced three little kittens from a test mating back to her Father. Both the show marked girls are being loved by the Parkinson family and sometimes attend shows in the Neuter Ring.....see below for her achievements.... it does not get much better than that.

Molly  returned to the ring for a month or two, gained Silver Champion in fine style, produced a litter from S.Shadeso Blue. Her baby daughter Sharada Oh Suzannah was retained for a time and won well at group level but I was pursuaded by my daughter to part with her. At the time of my retirement a little older daughter (by Ch. Vantana Callum see - Sobriquet Birmans) named Sharada Good Golly Miss Molly - is off to New Caledonia to join Christophe Andre. A current litter sired by Gold Ch. Dejavu Hershey will wear the Brynler prefix and all have gone to live with Suzanne Parkinson with my absolute BEST WISHES.

(Molly is living with Suzanne and her family and made a token appearance at the Birman Society Championship Show on 25.05.08 and gained her final 4 challenges to become a GOLD CHAMPION.)

Suzanne's beautiful little girl gained huge titles during 2007 and was awarded CAV Neuter of the Year and the Birman Club Best Birman Neuter/Spey - her titles are now ACF AoE, CCCofA Ch, Gold Premier Sharada Salaminca (Hons)- "Inca" - and this from a little girl who was to be shown occasionally.

Double Grand Champion. SHARADA RAINBOW SKY ("Sky") 14 months

Sire Db.Gr.Ch. Sharada Shadeso' Blue       Dam Gr.Ch. Zaeshinwa Kokopeli Cream

Sky was exhibited along with the other 3 females but was often the bridesmaid as tortoise-shell points often are. She has however got a lot to like about her - a lovely body length and type and back to the UK lines. Sky raised two huge litters this season - the second by her own organisation and my mis-management.....it is a long story...lol.. Absolutely beautiful liquorice allsorts litters - reds, creams, torties, chocs, seals and blue.....I retained an interest from her first litter in a seal tortie point Sharada Rainbow Serenade (who is with Anne Davis - Shakandah) and also a straight seal point Sharada Rainbow Rhapsody (who is with Marina Seliseth - Berrick) ....with my retirement they will retain with their current ownership. I finally bred a show marked red point boy from the second litter and named him  Sharada Fire In The Sky.....( he has gone to live with Jenny winterbine and Carol Kane - Peloux ) - Both litters were sired by Dejavu Hershey. I am hoping that this kids will do well for their new owners.

Sky herself has now gone to live in the country with her friend Peloux Rainbows Gift and of course their boyfriend Chanmali Kusri Kasseem Kaadesh and after a long rest may have a litter next year  sired by him under the prefix of Lisa Burns - their new owners.

Double Grand Champion DEJAVU LILAC TIME - "Lucy"

Sire : ACF AoE, CCCofA Ch.,Gold Ch., Gold Pr. Shekinah Soolaimon   Dam: Ch. Sharada Always An Angel

Lucy who was living with me following the sad death of my friend and breeding partner Debra Raus has now been desexed and went off to her new home with her full brother "Hershey". She is such a beautiful girl ....... the sweetest most gentle natured of cats and very very pretty....a stunning example of a lilac point Birman. She was very competitive at the National Championship show and won her class and Challenges twice and Reserve in all the other rings in a big class of lilac females .....going on to be RESERVE GROUP 1 Exhibit. From her litter by "Kasseem" three beautiful girls have gone to different States to be show/breeding queens........

CH. SHARADA IMPOSSIBLE DREAM - "Ellie" - photo 12months old

Sire: Gr.Pr. Sharada Tabby Two Shoes  Dam: ACF AoE, Gold Ch.Sharada Phoenix Dreaming(Hons)

Unable to breed a female tabby point TTS was retained to be a show kitten - and succeeded very well but as planned was retired as a neuter to a pet home....before leaving he organised an alliance with Phoenix mentioned in her notes above AFTER he had been de-sexed, There was a resulting litter of 5 kittens - including 4 tabby point females.  Ellie called hard and due to pyometra in the line and after several strong calls  despite a successful show career as a kitten was mated.......babies are delicious. A chocolate point girl has gone to NSW, a seal tabby is going to Noumea and Ellie herself is going to a new Birman Breeder Julie Dervan in Queensland. As she is a Phoenix daughter i expect her to produce more delightful babies in the future.

Champion CYMARON LAVENDER KISSES - "Lavinia" - 12 months

Sire:Db.Gr.Ch. Sharada Shadeso Blue       Dam: Cloudyfold Princess (Imp UK)

Ever on the lookout for imported and different lines "Vinnie" came via my friend Debra Raus - who was retiring from breeding. She is a sweet little lilac point doll and has produced a recent litter to Dejavu Hershey. Her breeder Gaye Downes....Cymaron Birmans  ...does not have space for her - which would have been the ideal scenario....and her future was unsure as she is a regular Houdini escapist. Several possibilities were considered for her future, even de-sexing and re-homing her as a pet but her English lines are very nice so not just yet.  Her attractive pedigree means that she is off to Annette Powell - Kucinta Birmans - in Queensland with the two other girls. One young Birman man up there is going to be very very happy.....and Annette is going to have her cattery security tested by a determined young escapist.

Champion PELOUX RAINBOWS GIFT - "Gift" - 8 months old

Sire: Badarene Pink Panther    Dam: Ch. Sharada Chasin' Rainbows

"Gift" is just that - a sweet little seal girl who has come from my friend Jenny Winterbine who together with Carol Kane have Peloux Birmans  and currently also own my lovely little "Rainbow" - her mum. Just a youngster time will tell what she is bringing with her. Gift's first litter has arrived - 7 BABIES!! Auntie Inya Dreams helped to raise them.     Gift has gone with Sky to live with Kasseem  with the Burns family, in the country and has settled in really well with Sky - they are very lucky cats indeed to be house pets before they are breeding girls.

.....And so dear Birman Lovers that is the state of play with the beautiful Birmans of Sharada...I thank from my heart all these lovely felines who have given me, and so many others, the great pleasure by just being themselves and sharing their beautiful kittens.

.......I have placed each cat with great love and care in new homes where I believe they will be able to contribute a little more to the breed while still coming within my criteria to be de-sexed at an early age and retired to a luxurious life.

.........My thanks are also offered to fellow Birman Breeder colleagues - you all know who you are - those who have joined with me in celebrating our love for this wonderful breed.....and it's challenges. I am hoping that as I move forward my contribution to Breeding this beautiful cat has left the breed and breeders in a stronger space, unharmed and hopefully enhanced, and my special wish is that Breeders continue to co-operate with each other and put egos to one side in love of a GREAT breed of cat...
