RYAN

We know very little about our RYAN line. Our ancestor   James HICKEY (or HICKIE) was born about 1835 in Woodford, County Galway, to William HICKIE and Mary RYAN.

James married Bridget BESTON in Scarriff in 1862, and the couple migrated to Australia in 1863. Their's is the story of our first HICKEY family in Australia, The HICKEYs of Honeysuckle.
