RICHARDS

Our RICHARDS line comes from the Midlands of England, in Warwickshire.   Related names are CALLOW and BROWN.   William RICHARDS was born about 1803 in Stratford on Avon.   His wife Diana (maiden name unknown) was born in Solihull, Warwickshire about 1806. The family was living in 10 Talbot Street, Birmingham at the time of the 1851 Census. William was shown as a bricklayer.

Their eldest child Ann married Charles CALLOW in Handsworth, Staffordshire (now a suburb of Birmingham) in 1854. Their daughter, Jane CALLOW married John BROWN at St Paul's, Birmingham in 1873, and migrated aboard the Gauntlet to Australia in 1878. This couple appear in the story of The BROWNs of Warwickshire.
