NELSON
We know very little about the NELSON name. Our ancestor, Bridget BESTON was born in Scariff, County Clare, Ireland about 1844, to John BESTON and Bridget NELSON.
Bridget married James HICKEY in Scarriff in 1862, and the couple migrated to Australia in 1863. Their's is the story of our first HICKEY family in Australia, The HICKEYs of Honeysuckle.
By co-incidence there is another, apparently unrelated HICKEY/NELSON connection, through James C NELSON
