DRUCE

We know very little of this name.   Priscilla DAW (sometimes DAWE)  was born in Haselbury Plucknett, near Yeovil, Somerset, in 1862, to Thomas DAW, a farm labourer, and Priscilla DRUCE. It seems the main claim to fame for the village of Haselbury Plucknett is that it was the site of the hermitage of Saint Wulfric.

Priscilla DAW moved to London at some time, marrying there about 1890 to James WARE. The family lived at one time at Pancras, in London, before migrating to Queensland about 1906.
