CALLOW

Our CALLOW line comes from the Midlands of England, in and around Birmingham, including Handsworth, in what was then Staffordshire. Related names are BROWN, GARDINER and RICHARDS.   Jane CALLOW was born in Mount Street, Winson Green, Birmingham in 1855.

Jane married John BROWN at St Paul's, Birmingham in 1873, and the couple migrated aboard the Gauntlet to Australia in 1878. What we know of the CALLOWs is in the story of The BROWNs of Warwickshire.
