Inauguration Ceremony

Inside the Gates of 3rd Heaven stood a new pavilion with the name “Thian Poh Pavilion” which can seat 100,000 citizens.

The six archangels together with 300 angels and citizens of Heaven were seated next to the stage where the Heavenly Band members were ready to perform.

At 10.00am Archangel Gabriel gave a green light to Thian Poh.
Thian Poh said” I hereby declare the “Music Festival” open and he started strumming his Fender Guitar with the accompaniment of the Heavenly Band producing the awesome “Apache” melody. That unique guitar sound at once mesmerized and rocked all the citizens/angels in Heaven. The 14 hour-marathon-entertainment ended at 12 midnight.

There was very little Shadows’ music as such in Heaven. TP and 'Heavenly Band' brought the rock 'n' roll music from Planet Earth  to Heaven. Within a few months, the Heavenly Band became stars in their own right with a string of instrumental hits from The Shadows. "The Shadows sound" was established, inspiring thousands of budding guitarists to try emulating them. Thus the Heavenly Band had proved themselves and enjoyed a great success in Heaven.

All the angels including Teresa Teng fell in love instantly with Thian Poh.

TP’s Footnotes

TP now is not as lonely as before even though he really misses the company of Henry, David and John. But it is comforting to know that he can now listen to their jokes in the Secret Garden!
