AMPLIFIERS
Oooh there are so many out there on the market. Believe us we've used many of them and thrown lots of them back in the past 15 years. Not these. You will not find better Bang for Buck. Anywhere.
100 volt line PAs in schools. We used to list around 4 different
products for this job. Not any more.
The Inter M PAM340 has everything you need and nothing you don't
for an unbeatable price.
For retail $790 inc, you get six channels all XLR balanced, with rear
mounted trims and EQ on each channel. Add a massive 340 watts
of power (enough for just about anywhere), a pleasant 4 tone bell chime
perfect for period bell, a 5 sector switch, top reliability and build quality and excellent warranty backup from the Australian distributor.
No-one else comes even close, especially for the price.
If you want a simple PA for a room or small hall THIS is your beast.
A great "all in one" 200 watt unit, the Inter M PA2200 also features
an onboard CD player and Cassette player.
With enough power to wind up just about any hall, and super easy to
operate. It also has the famous Inter M 4 tone bell chime on board -
so it is also ideal for very small schools that want an "all in one" unit
for a schoolwide system. Retails for around $850 inc. WOW!!!
The Inter M A120 is perfect for small assembly systems. Plenty
of power, compact and reliable. Balanced and RCA inputs.
There's lots of cheaper units out there (yeees, we've had our filling of the
offerings from Audio Telex, TOA and Redback / Altronics over the years)
but we've always come back to this little beauty.
A bit pricier than the competition at around retail $400 inc but well worth it
because (unlike with the others) we don't have to drive back to the job for
warranty. These units STAY working!
Music Amplifiers
These amps are designed specifically for 4 ohm (music)
applications such as school halls.
AND just to show that NO, we don't have a totally biased opinion that
the "Inter M" Brand is best.. we still include one Indian built Aussie Monitor
product on our preferred products list. The AMIS120P is a basic
"slave" 120 watt amp mainly used for upgrading existing installations.
At $440 inc, it's still the cheapest 120w PA amp out there and unlike some of
it's higher powered fan cooled cousins it has remained reliable over the years.
The Inter M L Series is another in the "FORGET THE REST"
category. Far better built and HEAPS more reliable than any of the other budget brands - but the SAME SUPER LOW PRICE.
We've never had one of these fail in service anywhere on any
install or hire job. That's a tall claim, but it's true. We can't say the same about any other amp. that we've used.
The sweet spot is the L1800 (2 x 900w into 2 ohms) at around
$730 inc. That's 39 cents per watt. RETAIL! Installs pay LESS!
Our budget pick of the year is the BIema "W" Series. These ultra
low cost two channel amps are well suited to moderate and
"occasional use" installs where a good reliable amp is needed
on a very tight budget. We won't put them on the road though or be
recommending them for applications where the Inter M "L" series
are clearly the better amp. The W220 (2 x 200w) retails for
around $320 inc. Team this up with a small mixer and a few budget
speaker boxes in a double classroom or small COLA and you won't
look back - and your P&C Lamington drive will be enough to get it.
