Terms and Conditions

PA Matthews Audio are NOT a Driveway Hire company. We do NOT hire
out systems to you to set up yourself. All PA Matthews Audio equipment is
delivered to your site and set up by our staff. Small systems operate
themselves, larger systems are operated by our staff with your assistance.

Generally PA MATTHEWS AUDIO will NOT quote on PA hires for events being held on private residential premises or for private functions (example, backyard parties, 21sts, Weddings etc etc) nor for events held where Alcohol is being sold / served. This is unfortunate but mainly due to the high level of breakages / damage that occurs in such environments coupled with low prices paid and need for high cost insurance premiums. The exception is where a public event is held on private premises (i.e. an event to which any member of the public is invited or may purchase tickets) and
public liability insurance is paid by the venue / promoter.

SCHOOLS and related bodies are issued with a 14 day invoice, and payment may be via cheque or bank transfer. 14 day accounts may also be available to other community organisations such as Councils, Churches and Non Profit Organisations by prior arrangement. In cases where the quoted amount is greater than $500, a deposit of 20% may be required to confirm booking. Cash on Delivery is not normally required.

Generally bookings for packaged systems may be made no later than 24 hours prior to the time they are needed, however we strongly recommend you book no later than 7 days to ensure availability. Other "production" systems and Lighting MUST be booked no later than 14 days prior to event. A written confirmation order must be forwarded for all hires where a quote was prepared before booking is confirmed. This confirmation MUST include all your contact and billing details PLEASE.

PA Matthews Audio has a special "Wet Weather" policy for outdoor events. Depending on size of the job and the time when (if) a job is cancelled, you may still have to pay some or all of the hire fee. In general, once we leave our warehouse and are travelling to your event you are up for the full amount of the quoted fee. To see a full PDF copy of our Cancelled Show policy please click below;

PA Matthews Audio reserve absolute right to cancel, cut short or suspend provision of services to an event where in the opinion of our staff, proceeding with the event may constitute an unnecessarily high risk to the safety of persons or equipment in the event of rain, adverse weather, security problems or an event running significantly beyond the agreed finish time. The hirer is at all times liable for any damage to equipment caused by malicious damage, misuse or accidents except where damage is caused by normal wear and tear or by mishandling or misuse by PA Matthews Audio staff.

If required, a single page Work Method Statement and copy of our Public Liability Insurance (to $5m) is available upon request once your job has been confirmed. Unfortunately if these do not meet your requirements we may be unable to do your job and may recommend alternative operators.

All PA MATTHEWS AUDIO Hire PAs are delivered FREE within the following area;
EAST to Homebush / Strathfield
NORTH to Hornsby / Berowra
WEST to Lithgow / Mt Victoria
SOUTH to Campbelltown
This area generally includes Penrith, Blacktown, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, Hills District, Windsor / Richmond and
the Blue Mountains.

Areas outside these zones attract an additional travelling fee. Please NOTE this INCLUDES Sydney CBD. We will also not
deliver systems East of Parramatta between the hours of 6am and 9am on business days as travel times are excessive.
