Turn from evil: God has no pleasure in death of the wicked

Turn, Turn!

...'As I live,' says the Lord GOD, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways!...' (Ezekiel 33:11)

The Free Gift Came to All

...God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. (James 1:13-15) Adam and Eve, parents of the human race, sinned when the serpent, the devil, tempted them.[1] Thus, sin entered the world.

Therefore, just as through one man [Adam] sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned. (Romans 5:12) All are without excuse for their actions (Romans 1:20). ...Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. (Matthew 25:41)

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) ...Sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. (1 John 3:4,5) Therefore, as through one man's [Adam's] offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's [Jesus Christ's] righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. (Romans 5:18) And He Himself [Christ] is the propitiation [ransom] for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. (1 John 2:2) ...'As I live,' says the Lord God, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways!...' (Ezekiel 33:11)

God ... commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness.... (Acts 17:30,31) Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who "will render to each one according to his deeds".... For there is no partiality [favouritism] with God. (Romans 2:4-6,11)

Believe in Your Heart

Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light." (Ephesians 5:14) Jesus said, "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself." This He said, signifying by what death He would die. (John 12:32,33)

Don't be one of those who...being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. (Romans 10:3)

Instead, put your faith in God who is...the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. (1 Timothy 4:10) ...If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:17,18)

They Were Broken Off

But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3)

Like Adam and Eve, one can believe for a while, but later fall away. Inspired Scripture says an ex-magician ...Simon himself also believed.... (Acts 8:13) Thus he had eternal life (John 3:16). But he fell away, and Peter said he'd perish unless he repented (Acts 8:18-24). Others have ...strayed concerning the faith.... (1 Timothy 6:21) such as: Saul,[2] Solomon,[3] Joash,[4] Judas Iscariot,[5] also, Hymenaeus, Alexander, and Philetus.[6] Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith.... (1 Timothy 4:1) And ...some have already turned aside after Satan. (1 Timothy 5:15)

But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. (Luke 8:13)

...Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear... Consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. (Romans 11:20,22)

Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:12,13)

...Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. (Hebrews 12:1)

God Can Graft You Back In

Perhaps you ...have fallen from grace. (Galatians 5:4) Those who've fallen away ...if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. (Romans 11:23) Also, remember that God ...is able to keep you from stumbling.... (Jude 24)
