As a Category 1 USAR operator, you will be expected to respond to an incident and assist as required:

* Assess risks and hazards
* Take command of the operation if none exists
* Identify collapse patterns
* Carry out initial reconnaissance to identify potential victim locations
* Rescue surface casualties
* Search for other trapped persons
* Perform structure marking
* Carry out limited debris removal
* Communicate relevant information to other responding agencies
