Stop Barry O'Farrell and the Liberal Party's
Attack on NSW Public Sector Workers

The previous Labour Government which included Michael Costa introduced the freeze on public sector wages. This has made it very difficult for workers in NSW to make gains in wages without having to trade off conditions. No union in NSW had the guts to step outside the ring and challenge this strait-jacket.

Using this benchmark Barry O'Farrell and his government has gone one step further by giving his government unprecedented powers to set wages and conditions for public sector workers. The industrial judges do not have any discretionary powers to award anything above this while absolute power over wages rests with the government.

It's now up to us to determine the outcome of this battle ending this impasse once and for all. Only workers exercising their industrial muscle can force a backdown. We have the right and we have the might.

End the 2.5% wage freeze NOW.
