Wollongong Radio Doctor is a Not For Profit co-operative that home visits patients in the evening night, and all weekends. Because it is a not for profit, the co-operative runs on a very tight budget. They only charge a Medicare fee to come to your home.

 

The WMS originated in 1974 after a meeting of six local GP's who were concerned about providing quality after hours care for their patients. The service has grown and now provides after hours health care for patients of more then 145 local doctors. The service covers the geographical area form Wombarra in the north to Shellharbour, south of Wollongong.

 

Our Services

We offer treatment of acute illnesses requiring attention when your general practice is closed. We do not generally see patients for routine consultant as these types of consultations are best dealt with by your general practitioner. We communicate with your general practitioner to facilitate continuity of your treatment and on-going care. Home visits are available during advertised hours.
