Malay Traditional Medicine - In the 21st century, more and more people are seeking alternative medical practices to assist in the treatment of illnesses and diseases. The purpose of this article is to provide the reader with a general overview of one such alternative medical practice: Malay traditional medicine.
Please keep in mind as you review this article that we are not endorsing Malay traditional medicine. Nor are we explicitly endorsing any non-traditional or alternative medical practice. When it comes to health care, we feel that a person must fully educate his or her self before making decisions that can, in many instances, have life or death consequences.
With our disclaimer, we do not want any reader to think that we are overtly panning non-traditional medical practices or treatments like Malay traditional medicine. We do appreciate that there appear to be documented instances when more non-traditional remedies and treatments have proven successful in aiding an ill person.
Perhaps the best course a person can take is to incorporate more non-traditional approaches to health care - courses such as Malay traditional medicine - into the more traditional treatment regimes.
Malay traditional medicine information can be found at several reliable sites on the Web. The first site that we visited was bpfk.gov.my. The site provided a good deal of information about Malay traditional medicine and its application in today’s world.
The next site that we visited was ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. This site was fairly user friendly and had interesting information on Malay traditional medicine.
The final site that we visited was mara.gov.my. This site provided a selection of cures based on Malay traditional medicine. The site was interesting in its conception and easy to access and travel around.
Again, we are not endorsing any site or Malay traditional medicine generally. We simply want to provide interested readers with some basic information. We hope that this article will spark some interest in Malay traditional medicine.
